Thank You TAMCO Foundation!
We'll never be able to thank you enough for the assistance you gave our family. Simply being able to safely get the trashcan out to the road is an amazing feeling! Your organization is truly amazing.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,

WOW! What a exciting fishing tournament.
TAMCO Foundation and all the Volunteers involved have done it again. A great time had by all. With all the wounded service members hosted from the local Haley VA hospital and, of course, TAMCO's own Gary Boggs and Pete Reid, this year has proven to me and has motivated me even more to find ways to help TAMCO grow with their mission of Embracing Florida's Wounded Heroes. The economy is still a bit shaky in this part of the country (Iowa !) yet Floridans came out to make a statement and that statement was loud and clear - "The sacrifice of our Nation's Heroes will always be remembered and appreciated." As General Diehl said "these life changing challenges are forever, the average age of the service members being injured is 18 to 24 and they have another 50, 60 + years to live so we must be prepared to 'embrace' them forever." Giving a Hero a hand up is going above and beyond and I thank you for coming out and making the small sacrifice and making that statement. Please show your support by getting others involved and if you just found out about TAMCO and their mission of Embracing Florida's Wounded Heroes, please keep up with events happening and help us raise awareness and support. I challenge anyone to use their resources and help TAMCO grow by putting on events and raising awareness as well as funds. Embracing Florida's Wounded Heroes is making a difference in the lives of our nations wounded because of YOU!

Thanksgiving is here!
While the Jackson clan is welcoming in the cold up here in the Midwest, we’re all thinking of our friends down in warm, sunny Florida. This is a special time of year for all of us to be thankful for. Its during these wonderful Holidays that remembering my wounded brethren, appreciating the joy of being with family and giving thanks for the love and generosity of so many friends, becomes a special warmth in one's heart.
I wanted to "thank" all of you for your kindness and support to all our wounded Veterans and your warm embrace of our families.
You all are special - we are truly all blessed, and throughout this Holiday season, you will be in my family's hearts with grateful appreciation.
Personally, I have the Fishing Tournament on my schedule. I can’t wait! I hope our Iowa Hawkeyes can play in the Outback Bowl again - and win!!!
Have a most joyous and blessed Holidays and a very Happy 2010!
I salute you all!

Hello from The Reids
I just wanted to give you a big THANK YOU! We appreciate how great Jack, Lynne, and Renu treated us while in Tampa. You made us feel special instead of feeling alone like our family feels most of the time. Pete hasn't left the house in 6 months! His nurses and therapist all come here because he feels like an outcast. I can't say it enough, but THANK YOU.
Pete and I really want to help you in anyway to help other injured heroes and their families. I haven't seen Pete excited to be part of something since the mortar attack. For us sharing our story and giving input and being heard, is really going to help us heal emotionally. It is giving Pete something to look forward to.
You're a great, honorable man Jack, and you will be so blessed for what you're doing for the injured and their families!

Peak Power Services & TAMCO Foundation Fishing Rodeo
On behalf of the entire Recreation Therapy Department at James A. Haley VA Medical Center, I would like to sincerely thank you for your generous invitation to our Polytrauma patients and families to participate in the 2009 Fishing Derby. That patients had a remarkable experience and the day was full of therapeutic value which assisted with all aspects of the patients' rehabilitation.
Our Group has deeply valued your interaction and efforts with the community to collectively offer donations including; Fishing poles, tackle boxes, fishing equipment, camping chairs, gift certificates to Dick's Sporting Goods, shirts, hats, bait for fishing, tasty food and snacks, caring volunteers, motivating fishing captains, and many others. It was a day all of our patients will remember, as they continue to mention their fantastic experience.
Although it is an incredible honor for us, as staff at the VA Hospital, to be able to serve these wounded combat soldiers and veterans, the support provided from grateful citizens in the community like you at TAMCO is very important and genuinely appreciated.
Thank you, again, for showing your appreciation towards our American Heroes through your tremendous effort, time, donations, and most of all enormous heart.
With gratitude,
Abby Wolf, CTRS & Carrie Haug, CTRS

TAMCO 2009 Grand Slam Charity Tournament
In looking at the month of April, I realized I was on the road 23 days this month. Now, that is a LOT of time away from my family, but when I get to come to events like the 2009 Grand Slam Charity Tournament in Tampa, put on by the great people of TAMCO Foundation on April 16th and 17th, and I get to see the patriotism of so many great Americans, it makes life on the road easier. The Tampa VA Hospital brings out some of our wounded heroes to fish in this great charity tournament.
Now some of you are probably thinking, "BJ is fishing and not golfing. What's up?" Well, I have to tell you, Jack Thompson, a true Hero to us, and his TAMCO Foundation team of volunteers "do it right". General Chip Diehl, along with fellow wounded heroes Gary Boggs, Pete Reid and his wife, Michele, and Laura Narvaez were able to attend, as well, to support the Grand Slam Fishing Tournament. They all say, "If you love to fish, this is the tournament for you."
62 boats fishing for Redfish, Snook, and Trout on Old Tampa Bay: a true fishing Grand Slam! Wounded Heroes and great stories; what more could you ask for?
Mr. Thompson, from my family (Wounded Heroes) to yours (fishing people and volunteers), thank you!!! I challenge anyone who reads this to think of ways to support this event. Better yet, start one of your own. Go to their website www.tamcofoundation.org to learn more about this annual event. This is just one example of a great American using his resources to assist our wounded.
So, to TAMCO and Jack Thompson, I salute you!
