Help a Hero With Some Football and Fun
Tampa Bay Storm vs. New Orleans VooDoo host a special military appreciation game

July 1, 2011 Tampa, Fla.- Wounded heroes from all military backgrounds will gather Friday, July 1, 2011 at the St.Pete Times Forum to enjoy a football game dedicated solely to them. The Tampa bay Storm will play the New Orleans VooDoo for the second time since the VooDoo returned to the AFL.

A portion of the proceeds from group ticket sales at the event will go directly towards “Embracing Florida’s Wounded Heroes,” and other non-profit organizations dedicated to supporting wounded service members returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Hopefully the Storm will enjoy a second win over the VooDoo and really make the heroes proud.
The games half time show will honor several wounded service members, many of whom received purple hearts and other medals for their sacrifice and service to this Nation.

Sponsorships are available and priced to sell for any companies who want to reward their employees and sponsor military personnel to attend the game.

The last time these two teams met in March, the Storm were able to best the VooDoo 46-40. “We started too slow,” New Orleans Coach Derek Stingley said. “We gave Tampa way too many opportunities to win this game. As soon as we got the momentum, we gave it right back to them.” Hopefully it will be another hard fought game between these teams.
